Project duration: 1st December 2024 – 30th November 2027

Learn. Travel. Engage. Empower.

Objective

The project sets the following objectives:

The main goal of the project is to increase the motivation of a group of people with sensory disability to actively participate in tourism, and thus increase their educational and social activity. Specific goals include supporting activities in theoretical (preparation of a guide) and practical (set of workshops) aspects; preparation of a dictionary in sign languages in the field of tourism; extensive testing of solutions and their dissemination thanks to a promotional campaign.

Target groups

The project is dedicated to three target groups.

The first and most important are people with sensory disability (deaf, blind, deafblind), for whom in the project we plan to develop solutions that effectively increase motivation for development and self-improvement through participation in educational and social activities in the field of broadly understood tourist activity. We assume that these may be people with different previous experience in this area, education, worldview and other characteristics. For this group, we plan to prepare and test a manual that will be a guide on how to be and remain active, as well as a set of various educational activities for practical use.

The results developed will also be useful for two additional groups who work with adults and who do not yet have similar materials dedicated to tourism. These are adult educators, i.e. trainers and organizers of educational activities and institutions supporting people with sensory disability in their educational and social activities. The promotional campaign will be aimed particularly at these groups and we want to provide them with developed and tested complete materials for the effective education of adults with sensory disability.
